Wheel and tire fitment

  • Wheel, tire, fender and bump-stop recommendations are conditional on the complete build, not guaranteed clearance.
  • Sport/Sahara manufacturer guidance: 3.5-inch wheel backspacing for 37/38-inch tires. Full OEM fenders for 37-inch tires or trimmed/high-lined fenders for 38-inch tires. Recommended bump-stop height is 3 inches.
  • Rubicon manufacturer guidance: 4.5-inch wheel backspacing for 37-inch tires or 3.5-inch for 40-inch tires. Full OEM fenders for 37/38-inch tires or trimmed/high-lined fenders for 40-inch tires. Recommended bump-stop height is 3 inches.

Installation and build notes

  • Lift height is referenced to a Rubicon with front bumper/winch, rear bumper and full-size spare; actual height depends on vehicle equipment and load.
  • Manufacturer recommends reducing rear coil lift height by 1 inch for spare-delete builds, or increasing rear coil lift height by 1 inch for heavily loaded rear builds.
  • Manufacturer recommends an upgraded front driveshaft for routine off-road use, purchased separately.
  • If an applicable axle configuration has a factory raised rear track-bar mount, manufacturer says not to add its raised bracket over that mount; systems without a rear track bar require a rear track bar to be added. Verify exact axle configuration before installation.
